PEACE AND STABILITY, HIV & AIDS AND TUBERCULOSIS TALK:

The above mentioned event is scheduled to take place on the 24th November 2009 at AFRAHA HIGH SCHOOL, NAKURU.

Among the activities that we carry out is to campaign and advocate on the importance and benefits of maintaining PEACE and STABILITY within our communities, as well as in the fight against the spread (infection) of HIV & AIDS and TUBERCULOSIS in our society.

From statistics presented by the Ministry of Health and other organizations, the prevalence rate of new infection is on the rise again and a very big percentage of the new infections is on youths aged 18 yrs and below due to the very high rate of teenage sexual activities going on unhindered.

From our own organization’s research, it has also come to our notice that many of our school going youths are very well informed and conversant with the December 2007 post election occurrences, an issue that has brought a lot of strain and lack of comfortability and concentration to a huge number of them.

It is for these purposes that we have organized to talk to the students on the above issues as they prepare to go for the long Christmas Holidays. Our tentative schedule of visit and schools is as indicated below.

The following are the schools that we would like to be in attendance, the whole class of Form Three, accompanied by a teacher (preferably Guidance and Counseling):
